2. Think about sucking in through a straw, all the while keeping your esophagus and trachea blocked off. This is usually far more easy to do with your jaws slightly opened. The point is to create a vacuum. 3. Squeeze in your diaphragm and abdominal muscles (as if you're trying to heave or blow air/water out of your mouth forcefully). Feeling as if there is air needed to be expelled is the most natural and effective way of burping. AIR BALLOON METHOD - a common technique employing the swallowing of air 1. Either sit or stand up straight. Your lungs need to be fully extended. 2 Swallow the air and do it like you mean it. 3. If done right, you will be able to feel it in the bottom of your throat. Then close your throat but keep trying to breathe in hard and some air will slip into your esophagus then swallow it. The more air you suck in, the louder and more impressive the burp... practice makes perfect.
Some Tips to get you started: 1. Try drinking soda, coke or any carbonated drink to get the feeling of air trapped. Then try and mimick that
feeling without drinking your way into a burp. 2. Relax when you do it, drop your shoulders and relax your back. Being tense can stress the muscles involved in burping. It's nothing to be exicted about because it's easy and natural. So relax and burppp 3. Try practice deep breathing into your lungs to trap more air. This in turn will make it a bit more easy to burp and will ensure a louder and smoother burp as a bonus. Regardless of the method you choose, best of luck in all of your burping endeavors. Bare in mind that while burping can be great, you might want to reconsider forcefully demonstrating your great new burping skill at time when: In a date, in a job interview, when on TV/Radio, in the queue at the store, in a restaurant, when speaking on the phone. Otherwise, burp away my friends! |
